I joined the Egginton Primary School Governor’s in January 2018 as a co-opted governor and I also sit on the Teaching and Learning sub-committee. My daughter has attended the school and my son currently attends the school. My first Governor’s meeting was an Ofsted feedback meeting which served as a useful introduction to the achievements of the school in core subjects. Although a small school, I am encouraged by the positive creative opportunities given to pupils through the school week and the cultural experiences pupils are able to participate in through visits and invited guests. My background is in music and charitable grant giving and development sectors (often with a focus on Children and Young People). I have worked for Arts Council England for the last 8 years as a Midlands Music & Music Education Hub Relationship Manager.
