CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND DISABILITIES (SEND)
Here at Egginton Primary School, we are incredibly proud of the inclusive and compassionate environment we provide for learners with special educational needs and disabilities. As a small school, we have the opportunity to get to know every child and their needs which allows us to identify any barriers to learning at an early stage of education.
Our special education needs and disability coordinator (SENDCo), Kathy Belton who achieved the NASENCO qualification in 2020, has a wealth of knowledge, understanding and strategies to help Egginton in our commitment to offer an inclusive curriculum to ensure the best possible progress for all of our pupils, whatever their needs and abilities.
We are also very proud of our fantastic team of teaching assistants who support children within the classroom and small group interventions.
